Zoom in on Microscopy: NanoEducators Quarterly Forum Sept meeting
September 27, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm EDT
Zoom in on microscopy and its connections to chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering using hands-on virtual research tools!
This session will offer an overview about nanoscience and how microscopy tools such as scanning electron microscopes (SEM) can be brought directly into your classes remotely. Dr. Zac Gray of the NSF-supported Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge (NACK) Network will show attendees how to conduct a remote session with an SEM and image biological and manufactured samples. He will demonstrate how nanoscience can be used as a tool to explore many STEM subjects. The session will end with a tutorial on how to sign up for a free remote session through the NACK website.
The NanoEducators Quarterly Forum provides K-12 teachers with opportunities for community building, ideas for classroom experiments, and engagement with nanotechnology researchers.
