Micro- Nano-Technology Health & Safety

FreeThis professional development opportunity will educate and train participants on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of hazards related to micro- and nano-technology (MNT). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program will be offered virtually in 2021. It will be facilitated for continuing education credit through the University of Minnesota Public Health Institute. The program will last for 4 days during a 1-week period, for 4 hours/day, a total of 16 hours. Topics for each day are currently planned to be (1) Occupational Hygiene Principles Applied to MNT, (2) Measurement of Airborne and Colloidal MNT Particles, (3) Preventing Exposures to MNT Particles, and (4) Practical Applications of MNT Health and Safety Principles.

- Capacity is limited to 14 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Community College faculty will have priority.
- Two weeks prior to the session, participants will receive an email to confirm their address so materials can be sent to them.
