September 8, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00 pm, repeating until September 9, 2022

Semiconductor processor chip on the finger

On Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9, 2022, from 12PM to 3:30PM (EST), please join to discuss ideas surrounding semiconductor workforce development and academic infrastructure and to hear the speakers’ perspectives about trends in semiconductor R&D and advanced manufacturing.

The two-day online workshop aims to examine how the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure can interact with the various components of the CHIPS Act of 2022.  The workshop content will be used to create a report that could inform CHIPS funding as it relates to USICA, NSTC, NAMP, the Microelectronics Commons, NSF Engines, and FuSe. The workshop will combine invited talks by leading researchers in academia and industry with panel discussions to develop concrete action items to address the CHIPS initiative.
