This introductory session is an invitation to learn how J ATE reviewers contribute to a rigorous, fair, and open peer-review process. Participants will gain a clear understanding of reviewer expectations, evaluation criteria, and the tools used to manage reviews—along with insight into how thoughtful reviewing strengthens both authors and the broader educator community.

Whether you are new to journal reviewing or returning for a refresher, this session provides a focused, practical orientation to the J ATE review process and community.

In addition, we will detail the process for using the Scholastica platform, our central hub for communications. We invite you, new J ATE reviewers, and more seasoned reviewers who would like a refresher, to join us for an overview of our systems and review process.
