Fundamentals of Photonics Institute

This in person, hands-on, Fundamentals of Photonics Institute will provide participants with basic photonics theory and concepts supported by hands-on laboratory activities, an overview of the photonics industry and photonics related careers, and a review of photonics curriculum. Participants will learn about the characteristics of light and lasers. Each participant will receive a “Light & Optics Experiment Kit” (valued at $100) and a $500 stipend. This institute is co-sponsored by the Micro Nano Technology Education Center (NSF DUE #2000281). Travel expenses will be the responsibility of the participant attending the event.
