UC San Diego Student and PCC Alum with new research
Scientists at UC San Diego have developed a new imaging technique for cancer diagnosis inspired by the nanostructures in butterfly wings. This breakthrough enhances imaging contrast, helping doctors detect cancer cells more accurately. The idea for this method came from Paula Kirya, a mechanical engineering graduate student at UC San Diego and the study’s first author. A deep bow from all of us at MNT-EC and a joyful BRAVA! for all of your perseverance and smart work, Paula!
