Fundamentals of and FUN WITH Vacuum Technology (in-person workshop, not virtual)
Vacuum Technology is an important but not well known technology that enables manufacturing and cutting-edge research. Come learn why vacuum technology is so important in manufacturing a variety of products we rely on every day. This workshop will give participants an opportunity to perform hands-on activities that could be included in a classroom experience like expanding objects under vacuum to confirm Boyle’s law or boiling water under vacuum to determine its vapor pressure.
