DESCRIPTION:Do you teach a course involving fine powders\, aerosols\, and/or nanoparticles?\nAre you unsure of how to handle these materials safely in your lab or classroom?\n\nThis summer MNT-EC is offering a four-day workshop on Micro/Nanotechnology Health and Safety\, to be held June 13-16\, 2022. Offered by the University of Minnesota’s Environmental Health Sciences Division and its Nano Center\, the MNT Health and Safety workshop will cover safety practices in the instructional laboratory\, including understanding micro/nanoparticle properties\, selecting and using personal protective equipment\, and safely carrying out chemical syntheses of nanomaterials. \nPresenters: \n Dr. Peter Raynor – University of Minnesota \n  \n  \n  \n  \nDr. James Marti – University of Minnesota \n  \n  \n  \n  \nA travel stipend may be available for qualifying individuals.
